The
Scarborough Center-Pin Sea Fishing Reel
Wooden Traditional
Sea Fishing Reels for the Angler who appreciates the finer things
in life
Background
The construction of this timeless reel is predominately of wood
with solid turned brass fittings. First used around 1800 for the
deep water off Scarborough, England this world famous sea reel has
stood the march of time and remains highly popular with discerning
sea anglers with an eye for quality and something special. Although
we have been making the Scarborough for over 20 years of its 200
years we reckon we have more than equalled the best quality examples
from past times. There really is nothing else like handling a beautifully
turned and finished piece of quality wood.
Application
Great to look at! Great to use and great to own! Increased diameter
combined with a perfectly balanced spool make the Scarborough the
best choice for angling in deep sea locations. With its central
drag arrangement it's no slouch when being used today and can hold
its own in the performance criteria with any modern sea reels of
comparable cost. Can be used by both left and right handed anglers.
Suitable for cod, tope, bass, mackerel, conger eel, ling, plaice,
dab, rays (including thornback), flounder, pollock.
Sizes:
6" (152mm), 8" (203mm) and 10" (254mm)
