History Fort Nelson

Fort Nelson is one of the historic Forts in the Portsmouth area. It is now part of the Royal Armouries www.armouries.org.uk and is a Museum of Artillery. On September 21st and 22nd 2002 it was the setting for a Victorian Weekend where the Portsdown Artillery Volunteers re-enacted life in the Fort in the 1870s.
